In case some of you do not know I am the new person at the Band office; my name is Vera Peacey.
I am temporarily filling for Colleen Delorme who is on leave.
I will be in the office Monday afternoons from 2:30 – 5:00 & Tuesday to Thursday
I am just becoming familiar with all the work that is going on with the renovations and there is “lots” happening.

Squirrel Cove IR #7 Occupants:

I will be calling on all of you shortly regarding the LEM rental calculations. Those of you that are employed will have to bring in your T-4 slip for me.
We are slightly behind but it will be happening in the next week. So you can expect to hear from me soon.

Off Reserve and Urban Membership:

If you are interested in housing in Squirrel Cove IR #7, please forward me an email or contact me at the band office for more information. We are updating our housing request list and need your input if you have a written request for housing in the last year.

Renovations:

Many projects have been on the go since the fall. We have just completed a refit of 1685 Tork Road; an abandoned house that was in need of critical attention. New doors, bathroom, paint, trim and flooring were the major repairs as well as the decking and laundry room.
At the house at 1697 Tork road we have begun renovations on a Klahoose Elder’s residence. New windows, insulation and an extension of the main bathroom will be the main focus. Past renovations included new decking and stairs. Another project on the go is at 1689 Tork Rd. At press time the painting continues and new energy efficient windows are on their way. Kevin Peacey has been organizing the crew and making sure all fine details are in place. Band members Allen Lentz and John Hanson have been working steady playing a role in the success of the projects.
