On the spot news! · 18th March 2010

Hello all of my neighborhood family and friends, I've just arrived in Sydney Australia on the 17th of March. I flew out on the 15th and it took me two days to get here!
So far I've been crusing around checking out some of the touristy things Sydney has to offer.
The hostel I'm staying at is a franchise called YHA and I'm not a member. The weather is good, I get to walk around in my shorts and t-shirt I love it. A lot of the people I've talked to at the hostel can't speak English so it's a bit of a social barrier when it comes to making friends.
I celebrated St Patricks day in several pubs, there names were "Cheers" and "The Three Monkeys" both of them Irish pubs filled with local brew on tap and green clothed people everywhere. During the days here I struggle sometimes to understand what people are saying so I have to ask them to repeat it again and sometimes again! Bit embarrassing.
I'm today I'm going to go check out Kings Cross apparently it's happening day and night with coffee shops and live music. Last night some fellow asked if I wanted to live with him, cheaper than a hostel and more luxurious, but I declined because I'm not going to stay in Sydney for much longer, I want to head North and eventually find some country side,
Sydney is just like Vancouver, it also kind of costs the same as well so onward I'll head. Time after time I will update you on what I'm doing.
p.s the plug-in outlets are totally different so all my stuff is pretty much useless. Fun fun.
