Vancouver Island Paving is laying down a new road for Klahoose First Nation. The warm September weather is helping the blacktop surface cure for a smooth ride for Klahoose residents.
Drivers have seen a fair share of potholes on Cortes so Chief and Council made the move to improve I.R. #7.
Over the next few days crews will be working to improve the road surfaces but keeping the flow of traffic uninterrupted.
“You won’t need to sweep these streets anymore after were done.” said lead hand, Dwaine Jurreit.
The company hired to complete the project is 'Hot Mix Blacktop', a division of Vancouver Island Paving.
