Klahoose First Nation
Pursuant to section 4.2 of the Indian Band Election Regulations (CRC, c. 952)
Notice is hereby given to the electors of the Klahoose First Nation
that a meeting for the purpose of taking nominations will be held:
Saturday, February 19, 2011
at the Klahoose New Relationship Building
Squirrel Cove, Cortes Island, BC
from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Nominations will be taken for one (1) Chief and three (3) Councillors
for the 2-year term commencing April 10, 2011.
Any elector may nominate, second or run for any seat on the Council.
Nominations may be made either in person at the nomination meeting or by mail.
Nominations by mail received after the opening of the nomination meeting are void.
The poll will be held at the Klahoose New Relationship Building on April 2, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Any elector may vote either at the poll or by mail-in ballot.
Electors resident on-Reserve may request a mail-in ballot by personally contacting the Electoral Officer.
Electors resident off-reserve whose addresses have been provided
will automatically be sent mail-in ballots on February 25, 2011.
