The Coho stock reared and released from Klahoose Salmon Enhancement Facility continued as in the previous years. This year however, we released approximately 5000 fry into Basil Creek/Store Creek in June with the help of local volunteers from Cortes Island. These volunteers are relatively new to Cortes Island and were blessed with the experience of enhancing one creek on Cortes Island our homeland.

Many praise go to Jean-Luc, Sue, Sheena, Delia, Killie & Barry. Rumour has it that Barry Peters our Community Advisor is retiring in February. We wish Barry all the best in his retirement.
