What is a class one License in B.C.?

A class one licence will allow a driver to operate a semi-trailer trucks and all other motor vehicles or combinations of vehicles except motorcycle. It is commonly referred to as a commercial licence and will allow you to find employment in various transportation fields in multiple industries.

Costs for the course and expenses are paid for by First Nations Employment Society.

Details of the Course:

This course will be approximately one month long. Three classes will be held on October 11th, 25th and 31st, 2011

The following are included in the course:
 Written test fee
 Duplicate fee for new license
 Medical review and will also consider medical check-up fee
 $1000 for one month training allowance
 One month motel room shared by two people which will include a kitchenette
 Training costs paid for the “L” license
 Training for Class one driver’s license with airbrakes
 Bus / Sky Train to class
What you will need:

Students will need to complete a Personal Information Form and a G3 Assessment with their Job Coaches. To see more information about Job Coaches and FNES look here: http://www.fnes.ca/

Students will also need to have a valid class 5 license and will need to provide their job coaches with a driver’s abstract. See here to get a driver’s abstract: http://www.icbc.com/driver-licensing/driving-record
