The third concrete pour at the new Multipurpose Building is slated for January 14th, 2009. As the foundation work nears completion the framing phase of the construction will start to unfold.

Klahoose Band Manager, Bev Hills, has been working with Chief and Council to decide on the fine details on the building including doors, bathroom fixtures, flooring and paint. These details are small in comparison to the broad organizing and financial artistry to make this project come to life. Many hours with architects, builders, lawyers and bankers have made this massive and historical building a reality. The new building will not only be used as an administration centre but it will house our health department and all facets of Klahoose services. Other fantastic features will be a theatre, meeting room, exercise room and a complete commercial kitchen that provides the following features:
1. Preparation of around 160 hot servings as required for a sit-down function in the Multi-purpose Room.
2. Training for kitchen skills development.
3. Use/rental for functions outside of Klahoose community (along with other related facilities/washrooms/etc.).
4. Use in the event of community power outages.
