On my recent trip to the lower mainland, I met up with one of the buyers of our Douglas Fir logs. The company rents sawmills out in the lower mainland to cut high end Douglas Fir logs which they sell into the US market. They sell the finished lumber for window stocking, clear architectural grade timbers and specialty items such ship spars/masts. See the attached photos of my tour of them cutting Toba Douglas Fir logs.
